Jessica Gallagher

Jessica Gallagher is a staff photojournalist currently working out of South Carolina. A proud alumna of the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop, part of the class of XXIX; she holds a degree in professional photography from Brooks Institute, graduating in 2016.

Gallagher is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and was awarded central Regional Clip Contest Photographer of the Year in the NPPA's monthly clip in 2019. She also holds awards from Illinois APME, and the Georgia Press Association.

The Eddie Adams Workshop inspired Gallagher to pursue a career in local journalism for the newspaper industry that took her to her first job in Alabama, then Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, and currently South Carolina.

She is open to freelance assignments and willing to travel for work and looks forward to documenting truthful and meaningful stories wherever she is assigned to next.
